Day 147 (6/16/25): No Kings Rally - What's Next?

Indivisible Twin Cities estimates that 80,000 people joined the No Kings rally and march in St. Paul on June 14th.

It's an amazing turnout considering the incredibly tragic news of the assassination of Minnesota House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark and the attempted murder of Mark Hoffman and his family which occurred early Saturday morning. The murderer was still on the loose, allegedly with a list of potential targets who support pro-choice causes.

But people showed up. Keith Ellison, Nekima Levy Armstrong, Kyle Tran Myhre, and many other spoke and gave motivational, galvanizing speeches. It was a more somber tone than previous protests, but the events of the morning seemed to make people more resolute.

So what happens next? Tonight, over 20,000 people joined an online No Kings attendee debriefing call. Organizers from No Kings, Indivisible (including Indivisible Twin Cities, Common Cause, Horizons Project, Interfaith Alliance, and Freedom Trainers shared inspiring words and tangible suggestions to keep the momentum moving.

Here's a few of the recommendations they shared:
